Character Depository

What is the Character Depository (formerly Character Biographies)?
The CD is a place for active gamers to 'deposit' the profile of their often used characters, so they don't have to keep re-posting the same profile time and again. It is not uncommon for a gamer to have a beloved character that they use repeatedly in various games. Some of us may even have two or three of these characters. You all know the routine: you use this character so often that you just copy and paste their profile into the game from some other thread or from a file on your computer.

So, can/do I put all of my characters in here?
No, please DO NOT put all of your characters in the CD. If you are simply making up a new character for a game, they have no business being deposited here. Nor do characters that are underdeveloped or have only been used sporadically over long periods of time. Characters that have different profiles, but the same name do NOT count as the same character. The CD is only for long-standing characters that have been used many times over.

I have several versions of the same longstanding character, can/do I put all of those versions in here?
No. For our purposes here, having several versions of a character is the same as having several characters that just have the same name. This is the reason why we ask that your deposited character be one whom you have played at least three times with an unchanged profile.

What are the criteria for placing a character in the CD?
1)The character must be currently or recently active
2)The character must be completely developed
3)The character must have been played at least three times in a row in DIFFERENT games with their profile unchanged.

In order for your character to be eligible to be deposited in the CD they must be active or recently active in some shape or form, someplace. This means that you have used them in some game within the last few months. Playing the character in various online role playing games and even in 'pen and paper' games like D&D are all acceptable. Your character does NOT have to have been active here, although we prefer it. This is NOT the Character Hall of Fame. The entire point of putting a character in the CD is because you are currently using them (or at least plan to start using them here.)

Furthermore, we only want 'finished' characters. This means that your character is developed to the point where you have their personality and powers nailed down and you are no longer trying to tweak or 'fix' them. Hence, the reason why your character has to have been used three consecutive times with their profile intact*. Changes that are considered minor, that is they DO NOT affect the overall personality and/or abilities of the character, are acceptable. For example: hair style and color; clothing; eye color; and non-magical items, weapons, or armor that may be carried by the character. Such things as magical items, powers, supernatural abilities, race, class, etc. are not considered minor. If you are still deciding what type of spells your wizard casts, or you keep tweaking your character's abilities, then they are not fully developed yet.

*Please note, 'in a row' does not mean that the next three games you have played have to use that particular character. Rather, it refers to three consecutive uses of that character in which you have not edited the profile in a major way.

How do I deposit my character?
You simply create their profile here as you would for one of our ORPG games, but with a few exceptions. First of all, all fields are MANDATORY, unless they don't apply to your character. For example, your character might not be part of a clan or tribe. If this is the case, include that field, but put N/A after it. The point here is to create a profile that is as detailed as you can possibly get. Describe EVERYTHING and give an extent to the powers of the thing you are describing such as: magical items/weapons/armor; spells and magic, abilities and supernatural powers.

Deposit format:

For information on what these fields mean and how to create a profile read the Roleplaying FAQ.

Can I edit my character once I've deposited them?
For Tia's sake, NO! If you find that you have need to add or tweak the profile of your deposited character, then they probably aren't done yet and you should ask a mod to remove them from the CD for you. You can always re-deposit them later once they meet the criteria again. If you get caught editing your deposited character on your own, they will be removed from the CD and may even be banned from play in the arena for a time. Depending on how naughty you are or have been, the Goddess may smite you. If you need to fix some typos, or wish to edit something MINOR then you may request a change of information. Please note, that you will not be doing this edit yourself; the appropriate mod will be handling this for you.

How do I request a change of character info?
Simply report your post by pushing the Image button at the bottom of the post by the reply button. Choose the PROFILE EDIT reason from the drop down list, and explain why you need to edit, and what you need to edit. You may be contacted and asked for more information.

How do I use a deposited character in a game?
By depositing a character in the CD, you are freed from having to post a long detailed profile for that character in a game that you wish to use them in. Instead, you insert a mini-profile and link the character's name back to your CD post for them. (You may also put this link at the end of the mini-pro if you prefer. In the mini-profile you only have to include ESSENTIAL information in an abridged form. For example:

Name: Nyanthei (<--link this back to CD post!)
Race: Raetheon
Class: Figher-mage type
Magic/Abilities/Important Items: Carries the Eveningblade, relies heavily upon D&D style magic, has heightened senses.

BE SURE TO CONTACT TIA IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS!

Nyanthei Raién D'astaaid

Image
* Name: Nyanthei Raién D’astaaid (ny-ANTH-e-uh rye-AIN DEE-AH-stead)
* Race: Raetheon
* Class: Something akin to a fighter-mage (heavier on the mage part!)
* Gender: Male
* Height/Weight: Around 7ft, 375-400lbs
* Physical Description: Tall, broad, but leanly muscled, Nyan had waist length white-blond hair and is possessed of an exotic and unearthly beauty.
* Race Description:
* Weapons:
    Nyanthei owns and uses only one weapon, and will not touch another. His weapon is the Eveningblade, an exotic bastard sword with an overall length of some 66” (5’5”). This is a magical soul-forged weapon that is unique to Nyanthei. Being that it is a physical manifestation of his own essence and will, it is weighted perfectly to his strength, size, and reach. It appears to be forged of some sateen-black metal with a sliver edged spiral running up its length to create a serrated kriss-like effect. It is indestructible in the fact that it is not truly made of any earthly metal, and any ‘repairs’ are simply manifested by Nyanthei himself. It is rumored that Nyanthei can use the sword to channel the souls out from his foes should he skewer them long enough. This is true enough but this is not something that he does often if at all.

    A side note-Nyanthei in battle: Nyan is a tactician. He is thoughtful and efficient when in combat mode, and will seek out and put into motion the quickest way to take down an enemy or enemies. His preference in battle is to attack from afar using magic, yet his choice of weapon, be it magic or sword is highly dependent upon the circumstance he finds himself in . If anything, in battle, Nyanthei is creative. Some may find it hard to believe, but Nyan isn't particularly fond of fighting and has little taste for arguments. He will only come to blows if he has to or if for some reason he is personally offended. (And if you offend him, I'd like to know what in the hell you did to piss him off!) When fighting with others, he is more likely to stand by and watch the action. If questioned about his non participation his likely response will be, "You can handle it!" or "It's not worth my effort." Nyan is very aware that he is powerful, and as with magic, he seeks not to abuse it.
* Magic:
    Highly skilled, but is quite particular in what he will cast. Uses mostly Vile magics with a good sprinkling of Necromancy. He relies heavily upon Evocation and uses teleportation as his main mode of transportation. Limited use of holy magics extends only to resurrection and cure spells. Nyanthei does NOT cast any Enchantment, Illusion, or Divination spells. Please CLICK for a list of some spells.

    A side note- Nyanthei's Personality and magic use: Because of Nyan's unique personality he does not maximize his magical potential. He was created in this way not only to give him a unique character flaw, but to keep his power balanced. Firstly and foremost, Nyan is fastidious about being efficient. He will NOT use a powerful and energy consuming spells to achieve an end when a less impressive spell will get the same job done. He is not known for overkill. Nyan is a bit lazy and feels no need to impress people. He views excessive displays of power to be bad form. Secondly, even Nyan has morals and tastes when it comes to magic and he never does something simply because he can.
* Items:
    Beyond his weapon, Nyanthei does not carry any items on him as such. He does manage to produce an abundant amount of monies from no apparent source should he find need to pay for something. (Hey, he's a mage, you think he keeps his money in a belt pouch? HAHAH!) Other than that, he'll only have on him whatever items he happens to pick up in game.
* Ablilties:
    Nyan's heritage grants him the ability to communicate telepathically with anything that has a language, as well as detect their thoughts. This is something that he cannot turn off, and projected or carelessly guarded thoughts come at him in an annoying fashion. He finds the whole telepathy thing to be rather frustrating and is not in the habit of reading people's minds. He just doesn't care what's in there. However, you are most likely to see this ability come into play when another character who is in Nyan's vicinity actively thinks about him. Just as people are extremely aware when their own name is being spoken aloud, Nyan can't help but notice when people are 'thinking' in his direction. At most, he usually responds to this with sarcasm and leaves it at that. Because Nyan comes from a magical race and is a heavy magic user, spells don't affect him as they would others. His body nullifies or absorbs magical energy because magic is a part of him. Using magic on Nyan is like tossing a glass of water into a lake. That is not to say that he is immune to physical harm. On the contrary, while he does heal in a strangely fast way, he can and will bleed and does feel pain. A fireball, for example, will cause damage and pain to him, but it’s not going to kill him. Same thing goes for physical damage. Yes, it will hinder him, yes it will slow him down, but he can't bleed to death. However, if he takes massive amounts of damage he WILL pass out. His physical endurance is high, but not unlimited. Mind influencing effects do not work on Nyan. This is due to the fact that his thought process is so alien. Telepaths can detect his thoughts if they try hard enough, but they get nothing but an overload of information because he doesn't think in one direction. If a telepath decides they want to know what Nyan thinks about last night's football game, they're not going to get something simple like, "Oh yay, it was a good show." They're going to get chorus of impulses. Looking into Nyan's mind is like seeing into the minds of a thousand people all at once, each of whom are thinking a different thought. It's mind boggling, and mind readers come out of it more confused and with a headache than informed. It is due to this that enchantments don't work on him. But, they don't need too. Nyan's own nature serves as an effective way of self control. He is more likely to talk his own self out of something, and he probably will. Finally, Nyan is physically immortal and if you ask him about this, you are likely to get a depressing rant about how he hates the fact that he can't die. Why? Because to him, death means peace and he is not afforded that luxury. The root of his physical immortality lies within his soul. It is there that his genetic blueprint is stored, and in the unlikely event of the physical 'death' of his body, the soul simply whips out the blueprints and starts repairing the damage only to thrust itself back into it's newly patched up shell. The other factor that keeps this vicious cycle going is the fact that when his soul becomes separated from his body, it is not allowed entry into 'heaven or hell'. It's like he just gets turned away at the gates. He is not very pleased with this fact, but that is the downfall of his race. The 'powers that be' use this to their advantage and often manipulate Raetheon and other celestials to a certain purpose. For more information, see the Raetheon write up.
* Tribe/Clan: N/A
* Personality:
    Although Nyanthei initially gives the impression of being rather disgruntled, he is wholly complex and multi-leveled. He is extremely intelligent, and therefore possessive of a refined sense of logic, yet this may not manifest itself outwardly at first. He lacks many of the social skills possessed by other characters who have had the opportunity to learn proper social interaction by way of their upbringing. He simply does not know how to properly deal with people and is factual and frank rather than polite or tactful. As a further result, Nyanthei is emotionally distant and apathetic. His indifference is such that he cannot be bothered to either like or dislike a person in any true capacity except in the most extreme of circumstances. This reaction is due to a mix of self-preservation, laziness, and egotism.

    Nyanthei can become easily annoyed and frustrated and these feelings may manifest in him in the form of curtness and scathing remarks. Even so, this will only go so far. Nyanthei has an extreme distaste for arguments and his tolerance for them is very low. He tries to avoid them when at all possible, and will cut an argument short by simply refusing to further the bickering. In summation; he'll just walk away. If things are pushed to an unreasonable extreme, however, he may become violent. Nyanthei also has an inbuilt propensity toward superiority and preponderance. This becomes more apparent as one gets to know him since he doesn't actively voice or think about the matter. Rather, he feels himself innately superior in the same way that a human might feel as if they are a superior and more complex life from as compared to a fish. It would be safe to say that Nyanthei doesn't necessarily feel as if he is better than anyone, just more advanced. This is most noticeable by the manner in which he takes the lead of parties and situations. Nyanthei gets along best with those who make the least amount of waves. He can't abide obvious stupidity, wastefulness, lack of common sense, or skill. All in all, Nyanthei can be a touchy fellow, but if one can learn to get along with him and not brown-nose, he has found himself a valuable ally.

    Once Nyanthei's obvious laziness and grumpy disposition are overcome, he does display some more positive attributes. He is much more generous than he lets on, although he does such more out of ease than intended good will. He is not prone to charity, but if someone he knows asks him for something out of genuine need, Nyanthei will often give in since he can see the merit in the request. He is also an excellent repository of knowledge and often doesn't mind answering questions as long as they're not pointless. Nyanthei is also fairly laid back and is not prone to being outwardly unfair or dishonest. He simply sees no point to such things and cannot muster the effort within himself to go to such extremes.

* Background:
    Nyanthei's full background is always under development. This is because I like to add to his back story as I play him and incorporate his adventures into it. That way his 'life' progresses like that of a real person and he adds in all of the interactions and experiences of many different games. There are, however, a few points in his back story that are longstanding and are not going to change. Much of this involves his heritage. Again, check out the Raetheon write up to get an idea. Now, in order to fully appreciate where Nyan comes from, I have to go back to BEFORE he was created, so things make more sense.

    IN the beginning, before there was even a universe, there was the First Consciousness. This being is often called the Creator, and is referred to as HE or HIM, for lack of better term, although he is genderless and embodies all extremes as a matter of balance. For countless ages the Creator was simply void made conscious. Nothing besides him existed. Then, for whatever purpose, the Creator separated a half of his own self from himself so that he could, in essence, look at himself to witness what he was; to discover what he was by being what he was not. This new piece of himself was also conscious and possessive of free will. The creator called this new being, Abadona. Thus existed only the Creator and his 'son' for an amount of time that is uncountable, for time was not yet created. Then The Father became more ambitious, and took a single speck of himself and condensed it until it exploded into the first universe. He then took even more small pieces of his own essence, blended it with particles of the new universe and created four more conscious beings, the brothers of Abadona: Malleas, Lucfel, Menifer, and Norbas. They, including Abadona, were called the Five Brothers and once the Creator began creating countless worlds and more conscious beings from those worlds, it was their job to oversee the new creations. The exact purpose and exploits of the Five over the ages is not pertinent to Nyan's history, but it is important to note that the Five eventually fell out of favor with the Creator, and they were all cast from his divine presence into a very old plane called the Abyss. The why of it all is again, not important to Nyan's history. Suffice it to say, Abadona was least at fault, and shoved the majority of the blame on the shoulders of his brother, Lucifel. It was then that a new emotion was born inside of Abadona, that of hatred. Abadona knew, that because his own essence was more closely tied to that of the creator than any other's, that he would soon suffer in tremendous and unknown ways by being separated from him. He knew that he had only a short time (perhaps thousands of years, but what is that to a timeless immortal?) before he began to go insane and lose his power. So, he created Nyanthei. He did this by manipulating a measure of his own essence much in the same manner that the Creator used to create him. But Abadona was not the Creator, and he was unable to create Nyanthei by such a perfect means as the Creator had used. He was thus forced to manipulate various physical life energies and cause Nyanthei to be born of a mortal woman. Thus the first Raetheon was born, but with distinct differences from the parent. Namely, Nyanthei, and thus the Raetheon, had a very physical body. This in turn, meant that this body was a conglomeration of corrupted mortal fiber, and thus contained it's own genetic material and strange mix of mortal and divine soul. A new race, if you will, that was divinity made physical.

    Thus, Nyan did have an identifiable childhood, although it was quite brief in comparison to his long life. He has no active memory of any early childhood, or the mortal woman who gave birth to him. From the time that he was able to act at least somewhat independently he was constantly being trained and inundated with learning and knowledge. He was passed around between his father and his four uncles, each of whom taught him the secrets of their own specialties. The entire purpose to Nyanthei's existance, as hinted at before was two fold. Firstly, Abadona knew that he was going to go nuts, so he took the best of what he was and created Nyan, so that he could place within him all of the exemplary power that he knew that he would one day lose. This was a measure, on his part, to stow away his power and not lose it. Secondly, after time wore on and Abadona became more corrupt and evil, Nyanthei's purpose changed. He then in essence became a living ultimate weapon for his 'father'. Unfortunately for Abadona, that bit of mortality that resided within Nyan because of his manner of creation gave him a rebellious spark: in short, Nyan recognized himself as an individual.

    From that point on, use your imagination. Nyanthei became increasingly distant and mistrustful of Abadona and his brothers. The rift between them has grown to the point where it can no longer be mended, and Nyanthei will avoid Abadona at all costs. This, of course, does not stop Abadona from attempting to regain control of his lost son. At any given time, Abadona or one of the Five can show up and make Nyan's life miserable.

    It must be said, that there are other points in Nyan's history that warrant a brief mentioning, but for me to explain them fully would take copious amounts of time. Nyanthei eventually found himself in an Earth-like universe in his attempts to rid himself of his father. His presence there could have caused a potential problem, so as the result of an ingenious plot on behalf of the Gods of that realm, Nyanthei fell in love. Yeah yeah, long story ok. He got married, and like the jerk that he is, devised away to ensure that his beloved would never die. Life goes on for numerous years, Nyan somehow falls prey to one of Abadona's schemes and ends up being 'reborn' to the Elven nobility on a distant plane that contains the continents of Rhya and Quardenlye. Nyanthei relives a second childhood and life for about 500 years, all withouth memory of his 'real' life and ignorant of the fact that he is indeed, much older than he is. Of course, during this entire time his wife and the two people who, well could be called his 'best buds' are out combing the multiverse trying to find him. Depending on what game Nyan is being played in, I sometimes place him at a point in time where he doesn't remember his real past. Other times I play him after the fact. (Depends on what suits the game better.)

    At any rate, my hands hurt from typing. That's pretty much the important bits.

Re: Character Depository

Postby Wolf on Tue Oct 27, 2009 4:32 am

Might as well toss mine in here as well. I have a few, but for happy fun time purposes I'll only post up my main... as my fingers may explode if I typed up two.

Name: Xavier Osmodeus Akafur pronounced: zay-vee-ur oz-moe-dee-us ah-kuh-fur(last name is Icelandic for Burning.. not sure how I know that)
[I dunno the proper way to do the pronunciation things so you can deal with that]

Race: Anthromorphic Otter+Wolf hybrid.

Class: Adventurer/Mage

Gender: Male

Measurements: 6 foot tall (6'4 counting ears), 190 lbs, 3 and a half foot tail, 7 inches at the base and tapers to a blunt point. 2' shoulder width

Physical Description: [Some pix can be found here: http://wolf-shadowclaw.deviantart.com/ ] Starting from the top- Four inch canine ears top his head, sprouting from his brightly colored hair. The ears themselves were the rich, milky chocolate color that dominated his fur, while his hair was a fiery mix of reds oranges and yellows. Deep, emerald green eyes stole most of the attention on his face. The only mismatched color on his body, his eyes still managed to look dazzling. His face was a hodgepodge of different features from both of his mixed races. He had the basic features of a wolf, but his muzzle was noticeably shorter and was capped with a too-large nose. Whiskers sprouted from either side of his muzzle, long and slightly droopy at their tips. He would typically be found smirking, displaying his canine teeth. At the bottom tip of his muzzle would be a small bit of fur that was slightly longer, difficult to really notice but it gave a mischievous look to him. He had an average neck, slightly short but it matched well with his broad shoulders. He may not be extremely muscled, but the build of his body would give one the impression that he held some physical strength to him. He had a wild tuft of fur near the center of his chest, which was a lighter cream color than the rest of him. His arms were slightly larger than average, but his fur masked any muscle he may have had. His paws were large, to match his arms, as were his webbed fingers. Black claws tipped his fingers, blunt tipped and only moderately sharp. His fingers themselves had black pads, typical to most animals, as did his palms. His waist was comparatively narrow on his body, stomach flat but not toned. His tail was obviously from his otter side of the gene pool, a solid length of muscle. He had big thighs, well muscled from years of walking on foot. His legs were digigrade (similar to a dogs), his ankle angled backwards from his knee a good bit and most of his weight resting on his large toes. Feet were of similar make to his paws, only the claws were smaller and curved into the ground for better traction. His fur is sleek looking, as if it was oiled.. but it is quite soft to the touch.

Race description: Well.. kinda speaks for itself. He's the only one in existence to my knowledge.

Weapons: Claws, teeth... and a terribly charming personality (on occasion)

Magic: Xavier is a self-taught mage.. meaning none of his spells have any precision to them. He relies mostly on his raw magical power to simply blow away any foes that may be in need of some destroying. However, he has developed a specific taste for the pure destructive force of the fire element. Even though he is self-taught, he has a great deal of natural ability with magic... and nearly a lifetime of practice. Combined with his heavy-built body, cunning and bloodlust he is quite dangerous with it. His most commonly used spells are: fireballs, teleportation (limited to his line of sight and about 100 yards.. includes bright flashy effects upon starting and ending the spell), simply lighting foes on fire, lighting his paws on fire ( acts as a gauntlet would by protecting his hands and severely burning anything he touches), and shooting sticky liquid fire from his hands.

Items: A pair of yellow sunglasses in the style of Vash the Stampede. A minor enchanted robe that is water-proof, fire proof, and can protect against smaller projectiles such as bullets or arrows for a limited duration. He normally carries a couple lockpicks and a pouch of money in an inner pocket of his robe. At any given time he may have all sorts of strange but useless items such as fake mustaches, silly string and such.

Abilities: A high tolerance for pain or injuries, immunities to most diseases due to his odd genetics. Because of the extremely unusual circumstances of his creation, his mind and body are very unstable. In battle he will go into a frenzy or bloodlust and ruthlessly kill anything that looks even slightly threatening, when he is like this he becomes almost numb to pain and gains a good deal of physical strength in return for loosing any form of subtlety to his magic. If he is in any dire trouble or is hurt severely he will revert back to his two original personalities.. and occasionally he may shape shift into something bigger and meaner than he already is. The form varies, but it's usually something similar to a were-creature or a giant feral animal. He is also quite adept at wilderness survival, including tracking and traveling through densely forested areas and harsh terrain... having lived alone in the woods for a majority of his lifetime. His blood is toxic, and contact with it can cause severe sickness or possibly trigger the chemicals in it to try and bond with a new host.. usually fatal. It makes him even more dangerous as a berserker.

Tribe/Clan: Although he has many friends, he has not chosen any particular group to ally himself with. His chaotic nature makes him hazardous in group actions, and his wanderlust prevents him from staying in one place for long.

Personality: Xavier's personality is very difficult to describe. On some levels his is quite ordinary, and will change moods according to the situation. He has the mixed blessing and curse of amazing self-control, and he will oft-times appear overly cheerful in an attempt to cheer up those around him. He is self-confident to a fault, and rarely second guesses himself. Because of this he sometimes comes off as cocky and smug. His dual origins have left him mentally unstable under severe stress, however, and he still retains his otter-like playfulness and his lupine desire to hunt and kill. Usually he'll opt for the playful side. In battle he becomes completely unaware of his allies and is generally considered to be a berserker.

Background: This is a loooong story so I will just give the headliners. Xavier was created by a mad scientist, quite by accident. The scientist had figured out a way to mix two people into one by means of a special chemical compound that would combine living cells into a single organism. Since it was a black art to do such a thing, he was considered an outlaw, and was sought after by more than one mercenary. One particular law bringer was a giant black wolf by the name of Akafur. I bet you can see where this is leading. The hunter found the scientist, who was coincidentally named Osmodeus and happened to be an otter, and there was a struggle in the lab, by which a freak accident caused both of them to be exposed to the chemical- killing them both. It was quite lethal to the original recipients and was only capable of creating a new life from the two dead ones. Thus Xavier came to be, a mental and physical mix of two completely opposite people who very much hated each other. Luckily the bounty hunter had sent for backup before the struggle began, so one of his assistants was there to recover the barely living otter-wolf and nurse him back to health. After discerning what had happened, the assistant went back to the lab and burned it to the ground so that no more 'abominations' could be created. As for Xavier, once he was back to full health and able to sort out his thoughts he left that place and never returned. Since then he has wandered the lands... never aging thanks to the unnatural chemicals that still hold his body together. He learned of magic early on in his travels and took up its study on his own time, often practicing by himself before he would sleep for the night or during meals. He never stops moving for long, though if it is for fear of growing attached or if he is searching fro something even he himself does not know. He simply feels the urge to wander. He has garnered a bit of reputation in some areas (after all his looks do leave an impression) as a helpful traveler... but nothing more. He attempts to do good deeds more often than not, because he feels no need to cause misery to anyone who has caused him none. He still retains some memories from the two men that created him, but not many, and he has formed his own mentality and lifestyle completely separate from his former selves. He has recently taken a liking to joining up with treasure hunters and adventuring parties, as it is one of his few ways to get legitimate social interaction as well as satisfy his need to constantly travel and explore.

image: Very accurate for his looks.. missing the webbing between his fingers but I'm sure you can imagine ^^
Image

Misc: He has a weakness for tomboys, and a terrible phobia of sterile environments such as hospitals or labs. Due to that combining agent in his system his blood is a mild toxin, and any exposure to it will cause severe sickness and possibly trigger another combination reaction. The reactions to date have never worked again successfully and are fatal.
While you are a smoking ember, I am a fire. I blaze through the night while you only smoke. So do not smolder, my little ember. Ignite and burn, roar your triumph in the face of the void that can no longer touch your light.
