Favorite and least favorite anime or cartoon

Seeing as we have a topic like this for books. Why not one for anime and cartoons.

Some of my favorate anime are Ranma 1/2 funny anime with a crazy story also Hellsing a fun vampire romp with losts of action and Code Geass and Robotech also.

Some of my least favorate by far at the top of the list Sponge Bob, Sin Chan, and Gargoyls

I don't watch many animes or cartoons but I have to say some of my favorites have been Courage the Cowardly Dog, Invader Zim, Hellsing, .Hack/Sign, and probably a few more I can't remember.

As for ones I don't like? Quite a bit of the stuff thats on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.

My least favorite anime? Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. I fail to see what is so great about either of these for people to be so obsessed with it. For me, it just feels like the same old crap over and over. I tried to enjoy them, but it didn't work for me. I was never too fond of Gundam Wing either, though I will say that what I have seen was better than the other three I named. I'm really just not a fan of mecha animes though, with very few exceptions.

Least favorite cartoons? Hmm, I stopped watching them cause of how bad a lot of the new ones were. Chaotix, The remake of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Like Xav, most of the toons they show on Nickolodeon, Cartoon Network, and lets throw Disney channel up there too.

My favorite animes so far? Sailor Moon, Fate/Stay Night, Zero's Familiar, Shakugan No Shana, Gurren Lagann, and Macross Plus (the latter two being the few animes with mechs I like) are at the top of the list.

Favorite cartoons are pretty much the older stuff. Original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Scooby Doo, Captain Planet, GI Joe, and the original X-men cartoon.

To be fare Naruto has its moments. Only problem is that you could wind up watching 50 episodes before they finish one part of a story ark... One fight lasted 10 episodes.

My favourites would be. Scooby-doo, The adventures of Tin Tin, Blake and Mortimer ("By the tartan of clan McGregor" its kind of obscure and based on a comic book but still good), Cybersix (also based on a comic and only has 1 season but it was amazingly well done), Full Metal Alchemist, The x-men and wolverine and the x-men, there are others but I can't think right now :P.

Least favourite... Loony Toons, it has its moments but for the most part its just the same mindless crap over and over again. And many of the new shows because theres no thought behind them whatsoever.

I dunno why I keep answering these "whats your fav/least fav" threads because, and I always say this, it's just sssssssssssssoooooooooo hard for me to pick favorites. It's a lot easier to say what I dislike, or even simply enjoy rather than go on to call something a favorite.

I'm probably gonna get smote by my dad for this, but I really can't stand Dragonball Z, Dragonball, or Dragonball GT...No dragonballs for me please! Like Skati I don't like mecha anime. I tried Burst Angel and couldn't do it. I HATE most high school fighting anime's as well, with the exception of Tenjou Tenge. I also HATE any romance anime's like Peach Girl. I think Nauruto is lame. Those Who Hunt Elves was dumb. I wanna kill Sponge Bob. I wanna shove that pineapple right up his a......nyway....

Bleach, Blood +, and Deathnote are Okay. I've seen some, but wasn't impressed, yet watching more could convince me one way or the other. They're in the middle right now.

I haven't watched alot of anime but my favorites so far are Inuyasha and Bleach. I don't like Cowboy Beebop.

As for regular cartoons even though I have children that love it I don't like Spongebob either. The only cartoons I like are the ones I watched as a kid transformers, voltron, and he-man but none of those are on tv so they don't count. Though I do find that I like to watch Scooby Doo with my children.

Well since we're now exceeding the single choice method I suppose I could post some more.

favorites animes: rurouni kenshin, trigun, gungrave, darker than black, wolf's rain, berserk, bleach, outlaw star, G gundam.

animes I don't like: ghost in the shell, dragon ball GT (though the first two were OK), witch hunter robin, anything involving highscool stuff.. since they tend to be romances or completely retarded.

cartoon faves: ed edd n eddy, Johny Bravo, digimon 1st and 2nd seasons, chowder, 12 oz mouse.

cartoon hates: power puff girls (super feminist, annoys me), pokemon, a vast majority of CN's new stuff.


animes I enjoyed but didn't make the faves: cowboy bebop, tenshi, yu yu hakusho, inuyasha (started great but it's been beat to death), death note.

Okay. Here we go. Much like Tia, this's gonna be a long list but hey I love anime, so here goes. As far as anime goes, my absolute fave is Blood Plus. It has action, drama, romance, and hot vampire guys (see my avatar and siggy for an example). What more could a girl want? lol. I also love Slayers, Naruto, Bleach, Cowboy Bebop, Trinity Blood, Le Chevalier D'eon (even though it's kinda depressing), Yu Yu Hakusho (to quote Tia "he he, Kurama"), Outlaw Star, Ranma, Ronin Warriors, and Gundam Wing. As far as cartoons go, my faves are Avatar, the last Airbender, He-Man, She-Ra, Thundercats, The mysterious cities of gold, the original transformers, the original TMNT and Silverhawks (Yeah I know, I'm showing my age). Always liked smurfs too, as a kid. Don't think I could watch it now, though. Ruroni Kenshin and Chrono Crusade are also good animes (a bit dark at times for me, though). I can stand watching Dragonball Z but small doses please. Loved Hell girl and Mushi shi, too. Origins, the spirit within was okay too. Really liked the animation on that one. Mustn't forget my absolute favorite cartoon of all time, though, X-Men. Good memories of that one. :) I also cannot forget about Hellsing and Full Metal Alchemist. Inuyasha was also okay but they need to just end it. Deathnote was also awesome but I liked the live action movies and manga better.
Least faves: As much as I know some will disagree with me, I really didn't like Elphen Lied. Too emo, too dark, for me. Great animation and interesting story, though. Akira was also pretty sucky but it's a classic so I made myself sit through it. As far as least fave cartoons, take your pick of the various schlock they shove down kid's throats nowadays but I'd have to say that Spongebob is about the worst of these atrocities. Dora the Explorer and Nihao Kahlan (sp?) are two exceptions because they at least teach kids a foreign language. Well, I think that's about all for this one. Will read rest of thread and see what everyone has to say. hehehe I love vampires heheeheh

I've been on quite an anime binge lately and feel that these deserve a mention as some of my favorites. First and foremost is Gurren Lagann, possibly the most epic anime I've ever seen. Sands of Destruction and Tower of Druaga (both the Aegis of Uruk and Sword of Uruk story lines) are pretty good as well, I'd rate both of them 4/5 Stumpites

Anime Faves: Bleach, Naruto, 11eyes.

Anime Dislikes: None yet (don't watch much anime).

Cartoon Faves: X-Men, X-Men Evolution, Spider-Man, Justice League, Teen Titans, Family Guy.

Cartoon Dislikes: any of those kiddy *funny by being stupid* cartoons like Spongebob Squarepants.

I haven't heard of crunchyroll.
We watch anime on hulu and funimation. Although hulu is streaming 'samurai x' and it's labeled crackle so crackle.com would seem to be another source.
